Yielded Life

A yielded life that's settled in God's word, open to His work within us, and made adequate in the Holy Spirit's love and power is immovable in the tempests of life.

Quote Reflection

yielded life … meaning Thy will not my will be done and…

I am settled in God’s word, which is not the world’s word but God’s. I read it with the intent of allowing it to penetrate my spirit.

Open to His work within us–meaning we need to live on the right side of the fence where He does His best work through us. You’ve heard many times from me about what happens when we sit on the fence when it comes to our faith walk–it hurts our crotch. We either believe and trust in Him, or we don’t believe and trust in Him. There is no such thing as faith in between.

Made adequate in the Holy Spirit’s love and power … meaning–that’s all we need–His love and energy flowing through us 24/7 via the Holy Spirit.

We must maintain an immovable spirit (strong, steady, and sturdy) regardless of the disruptions (storms) we encounter.

Your spirit’s strength is directly proportional to how much of your life you “yield” to Him…I write from experience.

Psalm 27:1, “Life, space, zest–that’s God! So, with Him on my side, I’m fearless, afraid of no one and nothing.” (The Message)

Thank you for this. People don’t like to think about yielding because it seems like they’re having to give up themselves. And, in truth, they’re right, but it’s the greatest freedom ever! I love Ps. 27:1 from The Message!
