Life Meaning

To invent your own life's meaning is not easy, but it's still allowed. And I think you'll be happier for the trouble.

Believe it or not, this is day 85 on our journey of creating a life by design and not default.  I thought it would be good to take a break from our trek through my Fear-Proof book and take a look back.  One of the keys to successfully designing your life is to take time to look back and see the progress you’ve made.

For those of you who’ve been on this journey with me since day one (February 1, 2016), do you feel as though you are better able to define what your life’s meaning is?  (Reread Watterson’s quote at the beginning).

LIFE PLAYING FIELD Creating a playing field for your life helps you live life by design instead of default. Your life playing field is bound by your Strengths, Passions, Principles, Gifts and Priorities, while being driven by your Purpose, Mission and Vision.

How is your Playing Field looking?

After identifying your Strengths, Gifts, Passions, Guiding Principles and Priorities have you gained some clarity?

Is your Purpose (why you exist) clearer?

How about your life dream (Vision)?  Can you quickly articulate it?  Is your life activity moving you closer to your vision?

Have you gained clarity on what you need to commit to doing daily in order to achieve your Vision?  (Mission)

The cool thing about finding your life’s meaning and putting it into action is that is only the beginning as far as God is concerned.  He will continue to broaden and deepen your meaning and touch peoples’ lives you never thought imaginable…I always write from experience.

If you haven’t defined your playing field in writing, I encourage you to do so.  Something magical happens when we put pen to paper.  Actually I believe that is the first step in creating meaning in your life.
