“People still retain the errors of their childhood, their nation, and their age, long after they have accepted the truths needed to refute them.” ~Condorcet
Over the years I’ve witnessed a fair share of people who are born into a negative life-cycle and for one reason or another they never take the time to change it. It is not that they don’t want to change, but most of the time they simply do not know how to change.
Real change begins by calling your life what it is and then what you want it to be.
What lies and/or errors from your past do you need to let go of?
What truths do you need to begin living in order to refute the lies and create a new you?
There are three “to’s” involved in changing a habit:
1. The want “to”
2. The what “to”
3. The how “to”
Most people want to change and know what they need to do in order to change. It is the “how to” that is difficult because it requires skill and skill is not something that is magically created. It is developed through the help of a good mentor, coach or counselor and then lots of practice.
If you are in a cycle where you want to change and you know what you need to do in order to change, but you aren’t changing, you may need a little help from a professional…it works…I write from experience.
…not certain who needed this one but I’ve got a feeling someone is deeply entrenched in a rut…
