I ran across the opening quote the other day and it really made me pause and think.
We live in a world where it seem as though people have lost the art of pausing and thinking. Something happens which we may not agree with and we immediately feel compelled to respond. Our response is a choice and our choices create who we are.
The past month has been a challenge for my mental state. Death and serious illness of family, friends, and close acquaintances have hit very hard. There are moments where I become overwhelmed with it all. In those moments I realize I have a choice whether I allow these situations to get me down or whether I choose to be grateful for my health and pray for peace and comfort to cover those who aren’t as fortunate.
Reread the opening quote.
We become the decisions we make.
