“Anyone can master others. It is a true leader who has mastered himself.” ~Jay Meyer
Mastering yourself requires the ability to get honest with yourself and a great place to begin is by taking a personal inventory of all the things you do that you would like to stop doing. Then make a list of all the things you are not doing that you would like to begin doing.
Then find yourself a good mentor/coach (I happen to know a pretty good one :))you can be honest with and share the list with him or her in a “dump” type fashion and then schedule routine meetings with your mentor to begin chipping away at change and incorporating self-discipline into your life.
A true leader does not need a title, position or fame to gain followers; a true leader only needs an effective walk that is much louder than his or her talk.
