Whipping the devil – Day 30 – Ruts

“The only difference between a rut and a grave are the dimensions.”  ~Ellen Glasgow

Procrastination, obstacles, distractions and indecision are all great “fear-tools” the devil uses in order to get us to create ruts in our life.

What is scary is how easy it is to feel comfortable in a rut.  The comfort derives from fear of change thanks to lies fed to us about change by the devil.

The devil loves ruts as it truly is a grave without dimensions.

“The only difference between a rut and a groove is how long you stay in it.”  ~Clay Mathile

Pray for His help in getting you out of your rut, picture what a life in a groove looks like, talk to others who are in the “groove,” plan for it and practice it a day at a time.

Helpful tip:  The amount of time you’ve spent in a rut is usually proportionate to the amount of time it takes to dig out of it and this time spent digging out, is the start of your new groove…I write from experience.
