Quote Reflection
Swift to hear…take the cotton out of your ears put it in your mouth, and listen with the intent to understand and not comment.
Slow to speak…your actions always speak louder than your words.
Slow to wrath…understanding what you can and cannot control will slow your wrath down and decrease the number of times you act like a fool.
Hearing clearly, speaking slowly, and not getting all “wrathed” up helps with our serenity and focus…I write from experience.
Questions
Do you listen with the intent to understand?
Are your actions louder than your words?
Do you remain serene even when the world is “wrathing” you up?
Galatians 5:22-23, “But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.” (MSG)
