Your beliefs become your thoughts, Your thoughts become your words, Your words become your actions, Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny.

Today is Ash Wednesday and is the first day of Lent which is a Christian Journey committed to denying our flesh of its destructive desires while grower closer to our Creator.  Lent ends on Easter Sunday

Last year was the inaugural journey of HabitFast.  HabitFast is a virtual coaching program that runs during the season of Lent.  The best way to get rid of a habit is to starve it and thus the term “HabitFast.”  For those of you who have no bad habits to fast, I challenge you to create a new, productive habit over the next 47 days.

Take a moment to reflect on the quote above by Gandhi.

From our beliefs come our thoughts and actions follow our thoughts and if done enough times they turn into habits and our habits represent what we value and will eventually determine our destiny.  Changing thoughts, actions and habits will change our life destiny…that’s some powerful stuff!

If you need some accountability during this process, please feel free to email me your fasting goal(s) or new habit(s) goals at jay@eaglelaunch.com.  Your goals will be kept confidential and I will pray every morning for your success.  Also, if you would like some additional help during this journey, please email me and I will email you some coaching tools I utilize with my clients for no charge.

HABITAll HabitFast Journey finishers will have the opportunity to receive their very own 2015, EagleLaunch-HabitFast Journey. “I Kicked Some Major Habit” tee shirt.  All you will need to do is start and continue on this journey one day at a time over the next 47 days…notice I didn’t say you need to be perfect.  You will determine the success of your journey and all I need is an email with your address and I will get a T-shirt to you.

Also, please note that I am going to give you  a 7 day “preparation/planning period” as the T-Shirt contest and actual fasting/habit change journey begins next Wednesday (2/25) and will end 40 days later on Easter Sunday (April, 5).  Positive actions are often the result of a focused and clear plan and I want to make sure you have a solid plan in place prior to starting on this journey.

More planning, preparation and coaching will follow in tomorrow’s blog.

And remember there are only two steps you need to take in order to break a bad habit and/or start a new one: Start and Continue.
