How many people spend their lives chasing something which means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things?  The opening quote says it all.  Nobody cares about our positions, degrees, status or worth.

When I try my best to live for God and not the world, my desire to “chase” things diminishes and I find peace begins chasing me wherever I go.
