The other day I was riding my bike in the same area where I crashed four months ago.
As I approached the sharp turn where my accident occurred, I found myself growing fearful. Then my eyes caught the beauty of the changing colors of the leaves around me. The canvas for this radiant observation was the Miami River where the sun sparkled off the rocks that ever so quietly interrupted its flow.
In an instant, my fear turned to gratitude.
The longer I live the more I enjoy the beauty that autumn shares. I believe autumn is God’s way of telling us that change can not only be good but it can be beautiful.
Reread the opening quote by Peale.
Is God nudging you to change something in your life? Is He asking you to do something different?
Change your thoughts and how you look at things and change will no longer fill you with fear but instead fill you with excitement about the potential beauty it will bring…I write from experience.
