When I saw the opening quote I was reminded of a recent text I received from a friend and former colleague of mine at HealthCare Pharmacy (HCP).
In her text, she shared with me how her daughter was in orientation for a new job and one of the “superstar” performers in a training video her daughter was watching was a former teammate of ours at HCP.
The former HCP teammate shared how much she loved her job working as a nurse in ICU.
During her time at HCP, she served as our HR director but she obviously had a passionate desire to get to the frontlines of health care which is where she resides today.
What makes this story even more amazing is she worked to get her nursing degree while raising high school-age kids.
If there is one positive element to how much most of our worlds have slowed due to COVID, it is the fact that we have time to think and reflect upon our life.
We have time to think about what we want to do with the rest of our life.
We have time to think about what makes us come alive.
What passion(s) is/are burning inside of you?
What are you doing with those passions?
Will they make you come alive?
Will they add life to the world?
Or
Maybe you are already living your passion(s).
How can you bring more life to them and to you?
In times like this, the enemy is trying its best to get us to live in a scarcity, self-pity mindset of doom and gloom–and nothing ticks the enemy off more than people who are passionate about what they do—people who live in a mindset of opportunity, possibility, and abundance regardless of the circumstance.
BTW…we just took the leap yesterday and are now proud owners of an RV and plan to experience as much as this great nation has to offer. We are looking forward to sharing our experiences with you through our passions of photography, art, and writing.
Your life is short…do something that brings it alive.
John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
