Golden Delicious or Crabs?

Every thought is a seed. If you plant crab apples, don't count on harvesting Golden Delicious.

 Reflection

When I saw the opening quote, I was reminded of a ritual I practice when I hit a golf ball:

  1. See it
  2. Feel it
  3. Trust it

I used the same ritual many years ago when I shot free throws in basketball.

  1. I see the shot I am about to make.
  2. I feel the shot in the body parts responsible for making the shot.
  3. I then trust what I see and feel and take the shot.

Granted, it’s difficult to successfully see, feel, and trust a golf shot or a free throw if you haven’t practiced, but the practice is worthless if you stand over an image and choose not to see a positive outcome.

You are especially doomed if you stand over a shot and see nothing but a negative outcome.

The human mind is so powerful, and its power can play to our advantage or disadvantage.

When trying to make a positive change, it is imperative to envision this change’s result(s).

It’s one thing to set a goal; it’s another to picture the outcome we are trying to achieve.

Questions

What changes are you trying to make in your life?

Can you see the result(s) of these changes?

Through focused repetition and practice, are you beginning to feel the result(s) of these changes?

Are you trusting what you see and feel?

Remember–every thought is a seed.

Try seeing, feeling, and trusting ‘Golden Delicious” thoughts.

Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
