“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude.” ~Denis Waitley
As we continue on with “Gratitude Month” I was reminded of one of my favorite Denis Waitley quotes noted above.
Living “right” in God’s eyes and receiving the by-product of a happy, spiritual state, is not about gaining and consuming it is about recognizing our blessings and sharing them with others.
It’s not about what you have; it’s all about what you do with what you have.

A Note about Gratitude Month
We can only lead others as far as we’ve led ourselves. Personal leadership development is an ongoing process that should not end until the day we take our last breath.Â
Although there are many “keys†to leading self and others effectively, a key that unlocks several other leadership attributes is the ability to look at life from where others are coming from and the best way to do this is to be able to overcome our selfish inward focus and transform it into an open and understanding- outward focus. This doesn’t mean we need to agree with everyone and have no backbone. It simply means we need to open our minds to more than one chapter (our chapter) in “the book of life.â€
A great step to take in order to appreciate all the “chapters†of your life; is by developing the ability to be grateful in all situations.
I have devoted November’s blogs to the topic of gratitude in order to help the ungrateful soften and develop an attitude of gratitude while helping the grateful to grow even more grateful…all with a focus on growing our personal leadership habits.
