“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.“Â ~Dale Carnegie
I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer but when I need to, I can work with the best of them and many times over the years I have “worked” my way through fear, worry and anxiety.
…probably why I used to shoot 200 hundred free throws a day during my basketball career (it is frightening standing on that free throw line all alone) and why I went to over 700 AA meetings during my first two years of sobriety (I was very afraid I was going to relapse).
You may recall my blog from last Sunday. I shared the keys to overcoming fear and they were prayer and surrounding yourself with positive people, places and things. Add “stay busy by working” to the list.
