Do What You Can

Do what you can, with what you've got, where you are.

Random Quote Reflections

The opening quote came to me several times while riding my bike on the Miami River Corridor path this past Saturday.

Why that quote?

I’m glad you asked.

Over the past couple of months, I’ve had to live with my heart in Atrial Fibrillation, which causes it to beat much faster when exercising.

I wear a heart rate monitor on my watch and try my best to keep my ticker within the normal beating range while working out. This causes me to ride a bit slower; when I ride slower, I get passed by other bikers.

I hate getting passed, but it is what it is.

I will continue to focus on doing my best with what I have and where I am.

Side Note

This morning, around 7:30, I will undergo cardioversion number two in hopes of getting my heart back to normal rhythm and reducing the number of “passes” I experience on future bike rides.

Question

What part(s) of your life is God calling you to give your best with what you have, where you are?

It’s an excellent way to live…even when you don’t like it. 🙂

Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
