Fear & Obstacles

When obstacles arise, you change your direction to reach your goal; you do not change your decision to get there.

God at Center-Mental PPTWe continue to reflect on excerpts from my book FEAR-PROOF as we study the Mental component of our Wheel of Life.  As our thoughts go, so goes our life…

“When obstacles arise, you change your direction to reach your goal; you do not change your decision to get there.” ~ Zig Ziglar

I’ve lived long enough to know that obstacles are simply steps on the journey to success.

Success is simply the achievement of predetermined, worthwhile goals in fulfilling our life purpose and vision.

Life would not be life without challenges and setbacks.  I observe some people who blame the devil for all of their problems.  The only time I give the devil credit for my problems is when I stay in them.  He loves for us to wallow in self-pity.

If our path has been properly thought out and has a good “God-Purpose” behind it, you can bet the devil will try to throw fear at us as soon as a challenge presents itself.  His goal is to get us to look down and give up while God wants us to look up and get up.

If you have a propensity for allowing the devil to get into your head the moment a challenge arises, begin viewing your obstacles the way God views them–setbacks for setups for success.

Romans 8:28 (NIV), “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Additional Scripture to read and reflect upon:  Romans 16:17, Matthew 17:20, James 1:2-4

What beliefs, thoughts and actions cause you to struggle with effectively handling challenges and obstacles?
