Lent, Peace, Tunnels, and Light

The light at the end of the tunnel is your life; the tunnel is temporary.

Reflection

Think about Jesus’ journey through the “tunnel” during Holy Week.

On Palm Sunday (yesterday) He was celebrated as the Messiah. A few days later on Good Friday, He was put to death on a cross because he was declared a criminal. Then on Sunday (Easter), He resurrected Himself only to provide us an eternal light at then end of any tunnel we may be traveling.

Hanging onto The Light at the end of the tunnels of life, provides peace no matter how crazy life can become.

John 14:3, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”

Journal your thoughts:

What am I grateful for today?

In what way(s) will I bring light to the world today?

What will I deny myself so I may draw closer to God and gain more peace in my life today?

Prayer:

God, I offer myself to Thee—To build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of life. May I do Thy will always! Amen.
