I was talking with a coachee the other day and he was lamenting about some health issues a loved one was facing. He began going down the path of asking himself what he had done wrong in order to deserve this punishment he was receiving from God.
I quickly steered him back on the path of understanding no matter how obedient we are and no matter how crystal clear our life purpose and vision is; LIFE IS GOING TO HAPPEN. Sure, sometimes poor decisions create poor life outcomes but sometimes life simply happens and how we respond makes all the difference.
If you are trying to create a perfect life by going through this process of creating your own playing field…STOP!!!!
Perfect isn’t going to happen!
This process is about you making the most of you and the gifts the Good Lord has blessed you with. This is not a journey to perfection. It is a journey of living a life of meaning and purpose regardless of what life throws your way.
There was only one perfect human being to ever walk this earth and His name is Jesus. I’ve chosen to have His perfection guide my unbelievably flawed and imperfect journey while life happens:
Hebrews 13:6, “So we can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”
Tomorrow we will begin taking a look at our gifts and strengths.
