We become the decisions and choices we make in our life.
Our decisions are born from our beliefs.
For example, I believe sleep is a VERY important component of fulfilling my Purpose — “Inspire others to live in the light with purpose.” Because of that belief, I make the decision every night to go to bed no later than 10 pm.
I also believe spending quiet time with God in the morning is the most important part of my day and fuels my Purpose. Therefore, I get up at 5:30 am on most mornings and spend time reading scripture, journaling, and praying. I call it my 10-10-10 time — 10 minutes reading, 10 minutes journaling, 10 minutes meditating and praying (I adopted this habit after hearing about it from an online mentor).
I also believe driving on the interstate is a race and my driving decisions reflect this belief…my dear wife is working hard to get me to let go of this belief and believe that driving on the interstate is not a race. 🙂
Do you see what I’m getting at?
What choices do you need to quit making?
What beliefs tie to those choices?
What beliefs do you need to change?
