Monday Morning Leadership – Thanks

A person who feels appreciated will always do more than what is expected.

Seven and a half years ago I decided to move on from a career that had been very good to me.

The career was very good to me because the people who were a part of the team were very good people.

We always tried hard to show appreciation for our team members and I believe doing that allowed our ‘very good people’ to do some very good things.

I mentioned last week how great of a job we did in taking care of our customers. It’s impossible to take excellent care of the customers if you aren’t taking excellent care of your team members.

People in a position of leadership usually have no problem telling people what needs to be done.

The best leaders show their people what needs to be done, equip them with the tools they need in order to do their work well, AND most importantly, pat them on the back and thank them for doing it.

How often do you thank your team members for the work they put forth?

It makes a difference.

1 Thessalonians 1:2, We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly.
