Let the past serve as the fuel for your future.
Several years ago, I spent a period praying, meditating, and seeking God’s guidance in creating a purpose/mission statement for my life.
It took a while, but God and I finally nailed it:
Inspire others to dream more, be more, and live in the light more.
I was in my fifties when I came up with that statement, and it is simply the tip of my life-experience iceberg.
That statement drives the majority of my actions today.
Have you ever taken the time to explore God’s future purpose for you?
Life is more fulfilling when we strive daily to fulfill God’s purpose for us…I always write from experience.
Isaiah 43:18-19, “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (ESV)
Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (NKJV)
