Due to the instant gratification world we live in, I observe people building houses (their lives) with little to no planning and preparation.
I do strategic planning with organizations and individuals for a living.
It is not easy for people to plan.
Strategic planning in its simplest form is casting a vision and creating a plan to achieve the vision. A dream with a plan is a vision. A dream with no plan is hallucination.
So many people fail to plan and their lives are reflective of this.
Planning is not easy, in fact it is hard but if you are trying to build a solid house (your life) it is worth the blood, sweat and tears to do it.
Where do you want to go?
What do you need to do to get there?
When will you arrive?
Answering these three questions creates a plan.
