Last Friday evening I took Jordan for a ride to look at Christmas lights.
It amazes me, how for thirty-some years, he never grows tired of looking at the lights.
Although he doesn’t talk, he gets quite verbal when passing by a front yard and house that is completely decked out in sparkling lights and various “blowup” characters.
Actually, Jordan’s joy from seeing Christmas lights doesn’t amaze me.
He sees the world the way we were wired to see it.
He carries no resentments or prejudgements.
He’s not into making comparisons.
Could care less about conspiracy theories.
I could go on but,
His heart is pure.
He sees things from a pure heart.
The way we were wired to see things.
He’s always joyful.
Are you?
If not, what is standing between you and joy?
Try replacing whatever it is with Jesus.
Matthew 5:8, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
