reVision and reClaiming Priorities

Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least.

— Johann Wolfgang von Goethe —

As I reVision in anticipation for 2021 I am reminded of the importance of keeping first things first.

2020 has been a lesson in priorities and responsibilities.

I’ve turned down more business than ever before in my life because of our additional responsibilities in caring for Jordan…all because of COVID.

Next to my relationship with God, my wife and family are my top priorities.

Keeping Jordan busy and COVID-free has been tops on our family priority list since March.

That priority has also caused me to reThink my reVision for 2021 as it doesn’t look as if this pandemic will be ending anytime soon.

The inconvenience I have felt due to 2020 priority shifts pale to what many have encountered in 2020.

I am reminded of my friend Bob whose world was rocked this summer when he found he had Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

His bone marrow transplant journey begins today.

PLEASE pray for him as often as you can.

A couple of friends of mine shared with me that they created a BOB acronym…Beyond Our Belief.

I am in agreement with that!

God’s healing and restorative powers are beyond our belief.

Can I get an Amen?

Back to von Goethe’s opening quote…

Before you cast a reVision for 2021 make sure it doesn’t interfere with your priorities.

Take a few minutes to list your key priorities, roles, and responsibilities as they will serve as your guardrails in creating your reVision path for 2021.

I don’t know about you but 2020 has been a year of naming and in some instances reClaiming those things which matter the most …

… and that is never a bad thing.

Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
