Reflection
The leaf colors in Ohio are simply magnificent this year.
Fortunately, I could bike Miami County’s beautiful trails last Monday as the temperature was in the low 70s with little to no wind–a perfect day for a biker.
As I observed the various hues radiating from the leaves surrounding me, the word “breakthrough” began transmitting within the walls of my cranial cavity.
It is incredible to observe nature’s colorful evolution this time of year.
Leaves turning into various colors so attractive to our sight–doesn’t just happen.
It’s a year-long journey.
My mind shifted to the dozens of people I’ve coached over the years, whether it be life coaching or business coaching.
A common term I’ve heard from my coachees over the years is “breakthrough.” Something I’ve said or a question I’ve asked leads them to a breakthrough, i.e., a moment where their eyes are opened to new possibilities and a new path forward.
Some have a breakthrough moment and everything changes; others have breakthrough after breakthrough, and nothing changes.
What causes some to break through and progress while others remain in place?
Capitalizing on a breakthrough moment takes action to break through to a new way of living or leading.
As noted earlier, the breakthrough colors we are blessed with during the autumn months in Ohio are a year in the making.
The colors are breaking through one day at a time.
Questions
Do you have breakthrough moments?
Have those moments turned into significant advancements in your life journey, or are they moments that slip away?
Facts
Those who advance and improve take responsibility for becoming better, more radiant, more beautiful versions of themselves.
A breakthrough opens your eyes to new possibilities. But your eyes close quickly if you aren’t willing to take action to break through the breakthrough.
Psalm 96:11-12, “Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy.”
