Reflection
As I began a workout the other day and turned my watch on to time myself, a warning on the face of the watch told me I needed to rest.
Who thought our watches would become our moms?
I used to go and go as a kid and would not stop until my mom forced me to shut down and rest.
Facts
When training for anything, I have found rest days to be as important as training days.
In fact, as a gracefully aged version of my younger self, rest days are more important than training days.
The effectiveness of our daily output is directly proportional to our physical, mental, and spiritual states.
If we don’t take the time to recharge the three critical components of our being, our “lights” will eventually grow dim.
Questions
How do you recharge your physical, mental, and spiritual “batteries?”
1 Corinthians 6:19-20, “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
