I am 24 weeks into my training for Ironman Maryland. Even though my body is aching, I am still healthy and have my eyes focused on jumping in the Choptank River early in the morning on September 29.
What an amazing journey this has been. By the time the race arrives, I will have logged over 2000 miles of training.
I’ve learned so much about myself over this 6 month journey.
I always knew this was the case, but I must reiterate that whatever goal we choose to chase in life, it is never about the destination it is all about the journey.
We learn so much on our various life journeys especially if we don’t get hung up on if and how we reach our destinations.

Psalm 23:1-6, “A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”
