Continued from February 16…
Later that evening I asked Jeff, who was a psychologist, about the situation with me standing on the chair and why he told me he didn’t think I belonged in the circle sitting on my chair with the rest of my family.
He said something to this extent; “Dude you’ve been blessed with leadership qualities. You may want to simply fit in and go with the flow but that is not how God wired you. I hope you are able to stay sober long enough to realize this and use this great gift God has given you.”
There are many times throughout my sober life where I’ve felt like saying, “Why me God?” “Why couldn’t you have given me the gift of serving or ministering or better yet why not allow me to speak in tongues because I enjoy speaking. 🙂
Or why not give me the gifts of being lazy and doing nothing…actually these are “gifts” the devil likes us to buy into.
We can’t “make our gifts happen.”
Gifts are gifts. Strengths are strengths. They are a part of our DNA.
What are your gifts and strengths?
Jot them down in the designated area on your playing field.
Are you using your gifts and strengths to bring your life purpose to life?
More on gifts and strengths tomorrow.

Romans 12:6-8, “Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy; cheerfulness.” (ESV)
